EXAMEN – Awakened Consciousness... “The Living God in the Living Soul.”

Event language: Czech

Ignatius of Loyola teaches us that the so-called Examen —a form of prayer that opens our eyes to God’s daily workings and His manifestations in the circumstances of our lives—is the most important prayer, one that surely leads us to gradual spiritual growth and vigilance toward God’s presence.

This seminar will introduce participants to this often-overlooked spiritual treasure of Ignatius’s teachings and, through practical exercises in the examen, will open them to the experience of the transforming power of God’s grace in the “small, decisive” events of life, in which God constantly accompanies us like a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.

Václav Čáp: theologian and lay missionary called to—and long involved in—evangelization through teaching, leading seminars and retreats at spiritual centers and parishes, intercessory prayer for healing and deliverance, and individual spiritual direction. His approach is characterized by an effort to integrate the fields of theology, spirituality, and psychological understanding to foster mental and spiritual growth in various areas of life through the interplay of God’s grace and the human response to that grace.
